Dear Valued Clients, Community Members and Partners:
Effective April 1, 2017, we are excited to announce that we have experienced a corporate name change to Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP).
Our new name reflects our current scope of services and housing within the communities we provide support and reflect the growth that has taken place since we began as Supportive Housing In Peel in 1992.
SHIP is honored to be involved with the 20,000 Homes Campaign in Dufferin County which is a community-led initiative that participates in the national 20,000 Home Campaign.
Love Me Still is a community play that is delightful, impactful and touching as the audience is provided with a glimpse of a moment in the life of a person living with mental illness and the impact on those around them. The play is comprised of a multi-faceted talented cast and crew, all with varying degrees of theatre experience and tremendous passion.
Commencing October 1st, 2014, SHIP is proud to be the service provider for Angela’s Place; a unique 20-unit transitional housing support program for families experiencing homelessness, located in Mississauga (45 Glenn Hawthorne Blvd). The program provides safe, secure short-term housing for a maximum of one year for up to twenty families who have been staying in emergency shelters or without appropriate housing.
SHIP’s Board of Directors, CEO and Executive team identified the three key objectives that will move this organization forward to 2017.
