SHIP volunteers are respected and appreciated as essential community partners who provide a positive influence in the lives of individuals with mental illness. There are a wide variety of ways individual volunteers and groups of volunteers can make a lasting contribution to the SHIP community including:

• Team Up SHIP – for community and corporate groups who wish to contribute time or funds
• SHIP KALEIDOSCOPE – a pool of previously screened volunteers who are ready to participate in activities and/or projects on a call-in basis. Students are welcome.
• Membership in our Volunteer Circle or as a Peer Assisted Leisure volunteer
• Sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm in a variety of areas including computers, photography, gardening, cooking and walking
• Offering your skills in administration or project work through office support, fundraising and research
• Driving clients or assisting them in home decorating and home repairs. Willingness to provide snow removal and/or lawn maintenance is also appreciated.
