Nance Horwood Place

The official grand opening ceremony at Nance Horwood Place marked completion of a three-year development project, in partnership with the Region of Peel and Peel Living.

SHIP is now welcoming tenants to Nance Horwood Place, a 30-unit older adult building in the City of Brampton.

In consultation with our tenants, this building was designed with features supportive of a healthy lifestyle. Units offer bright, airy rooms that fully utilize natural lighting. There are large community rooms and a wellness centre. The building has a gardening room and space for art and music programs.

These features foster an atmosphere that encourages tenants to leave the confines of their units in favour of socializing with their neighbours, participating in activities of interest and enjoying open spaces.

Nance Horwood Place also utilizes the *Principles of Healthy Housing™ - to maximize the positive aspects of these independent living units - with the goal of improving wellness and optimizing the well-being of seniors.
