Presentations and Education Team (PET)

After nearly two years of planning and development, SHIP’s Presentations and Education Team (PET) will proudly represent SHIP in the community.

SHIP’s PET team acts as Ambassadors for SHIP by delivering presentations to a variety of audiences including funders, healthcare providers, partner agencies and other community stakeholders.

This Board-approved initiative, comprised of more than 20 dedicated volunteers, has become “the Face of SHIP”.

These individuals include clients, members of the Board, the Executive team, management and staff from nearly every department within SHIP’s housing, operations, services, community relations and *peer support initiatives.

Professionally-developed PowerPoint Presentations of varying lengths are available on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:

  • Development of partnerships and collaborations with clients, the community, partner agencies and landlords
  • Housing of specialized populations and the *Principles of Healthy Housing
  • Vital functions and relationships of SHIP’s Board of Directors, CEO and Executive Team, Management, staff, partner agencies and clients
  • Principles of recovery and wellness self-management and an overview of SHIP’s Social Purpose Enterprise
  • Information on SHIP programs and service teams, the recovery process and anti-stigma issues

These PowerPoint presentations are delivered by skilled presenters who have been professionally-trained to clearly and consistently reflect the true measure of SHIP’s Mission and Values.

These subject matter experts have made significant contributions to content development while building a team devoted to delivering a clear and consistent message on behalf of SHIP’s client population.

To date, members of SHIP’s Presentations and Education Team (PET) have delivered group presentations to audiences of more than 100 of their peers and to potential landlords at information sessions in Orangeville, Brampton and Malton.
