Central Intake continually monitors and assesses the changing needs of applicants on our wait lists providing a contact person, as required, available to answer questions and offer information about additional resources available through our community partnerships.

Recommendations are based on:

• Date application submitted
• Applicant need
• Current availability of service

Referrals for applications are accepted from family physicians, hospitals, partner agencies, family members and significant others or applicants themselves.

The applicant must sign a consent form, complete a SHIP application form and arrange for a psychiatric report to be submitted to Central Intake within six months of the date of submission.

It is difficult to predict how long you can expect to wait since appropriate housing in the area of your choice is subject to availability.

In order to keep your place on the wait list please stay in regular contact with Central Intake, and keep your application up to date. Should your situation or preferences change, contact Central Intake immediately with your new contact information, housing or preference changes.
