Recovery meets retail at DestinationCafé.ca.

DestinationCafé.ca is a fashionable retail Internet café located at 211 Lakeshore Boulevard, in Mississauga. DestinationCafé.ca serves high-quality, uniquely-blended, fresh roasted coffee. It also serves as the ideal employment environment for consumer survivors.

Staffed exclusively by individuals with mental illness, this SHIP employment initiative creates valuable opportunities for our client population to develop essential work and social skills. This gentle re-entry to the workforce promotes increased self-respect and dignity.

SHIP encourages the recovery of our mental health consumers by providing a safe employment environment where they can experience the healing benefits of community inclusion.

Thanks to generous donations from the GE Elfun Foundation, Home Depot and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, DestinationCafé.ca is a fully functioning and sustainable, community-based project.

SHIP also wishes to acknowledge the dedicated volunteers from GE Elfun. Many thanks for their countless hours of assistance and enthusiasm prior to the launch of this project.
